Philina den Dulk is full time Modern artist based in South Otago passionate in sharing her inspiration and love for painting with the world. Even though she hadn't painted since leaving high school in Invercargill, the urge was still there. Being pregnant with her 4th son in 2004 Philina decided to pick up the brushes again for some ‘quiet time’. Some 400 paintings later she has now made a career out of sharing her passion with others. Her work can be found in private collections throughout New Zealand and overseas, Galleries and an exclusive café here in New Zealand.

Self taught Philina works mostly in acrylics and loves to work with various textures she also enjoys exploring the use of visual language. Challenging her self is important and Philina loves to incorporate new ideas while developing her unique style.
Philinas addiction for texture can be seen in many of her artworks, which feature so much of her, she wants to bring joy to those who love her art, and wants art lovers to reach out and touch, not be afraid to run their hands over the canvas to feel the paintings textures.

Inspiration for her artwork comes from her nearest and dearest, the love she has for family and friends. Philina believes that memories from the past or present are all influential and inspirational and are a story she wants to tell on canvas.
